True enough.
I think that Osama Bin Laden could have been considered except that beyond the fact that the guy was a mass murderer he didn't change the world in the most positive way, he changed the world and made it a lot darker.
But I agree.
If you look at the previous men of the year, not all of them were exactly positive role models.
Deng Xiaoping (sp?) was man of the year and was a very oppressive leader in China and pretty much took power via a coup
King Faisel caused the energy crisis that nearly crippled the world
Westmoreland made a hash out of vietnam in my opinion and significantly upped the American body count.
Andropov I have no idea how he was man of the year, but the conspiracy theorist in me still thinks he ordered the hit on the pope.
And don't get me started on that Ghandi guy
