I was looking up Jagr's stats myself last night after his OT winner. One thing I found surprising was his +/- compared to the other top scorers. Now you can put whatever value you like in that statistic, but he's way ahead of most of the pack.
Gretzky +518
Messier +210
Howe +87 (although his entire career wasn't tracked)
Francis -10
Dionne +28
Yzerman +202
Lemieux +115
Jagr +288
Sakic +30
Esposito +197
Jagr's only been a minus player three times in his career (including his first year and last year), and his lowest total is only -5. Maybe it doesn't mean a whole lot when you consider Francis was one of the better two way players and is the only minus player on that list. But it does showcase some of Jagr's puck controlling abilities back in the day.
