I believe there is still a retro night scheduled this season, so he will at some point wear the jersey

I agree the retro is nicer, but to me, it makes no sense to put his name on a jersey that he's never worn. I prefer other numbers over #23, but I'd never get a Monahan #55 jersey. I think it's similar to wearing a Flames jersey with Crosby #87 or even Jeter #2 on the back. I prefer jerseys that are correct for the period, even if the design isn't my favourite.

I hope so. I'd pick one up for sure. I also hope they switch to that design for the regular jerseys.

That's just you. I'd wear whatever the heck I wanted and wouldn't care what others said.
That being said, Monahan seems to be an amazing player and he's doing great. I'd just like to see him shoot a lot more.

There's something very ######y and Guy Fieri about calling him Money. Pretty soon his goals are going to be "off the hook".
Not a fan. Monorail is so much better.

Who doesn't like the Number 23?
One of the Best numbers associated with one of the best athletes of all time?

A little sweet ... a little heat, the crispness of the hands. And look at that bark ... Monahan is the mayor of Flavortown.

Gotta disagree. Moneyhands not only rolls off the tongue, but it's descriptive of his play. Like the shootout last night. I was confident it would go in because, well, "moneyhands."
Monahan's coolness under pressure might be his most important asset. He's one of those guys who just seems calmer and more assured the more crucial the play. He's money.

Best thing about him is the consistency. He keeps putting up pts and his play is very solid game to game. Sort of Monotonous in his steady play . Now how to incorporate that into a nickname?

+1
Monorail has always sounded a bit dumb to me, totally meaningless and it's got no flow. Moneyhands? Now THAT is a nickname.
I'm going to get a retro jersey with "Money" on the back instead of Monahan, just to irk the goofs.

Why not go with a $ instead of 23?

I like money hands way more than monorail. Why monorail? I guess I'm missing something there.
A jersey with #23 and Moneyhands on it would be awesome.
