what a stupid play by Hemsky. 3 on 1, and his slapshot misses the net and sets up a 3 on 1 the other way. No wonder the Oil are in the predicament they are in.

Still can't believe they brought him back after what MacT said. I bet you that really makes the room an upbeat place.

Geezz... The Flyers and Oilers are brutal.

I really hope the Oilers are demanding Voracek in any trade with the Flyers, because he has been brutal this game.

I was really hoping Emery would get that start and beat them despite being 8th last in GAA and 5th last in SV%.

Labarbera and Dubnyk and 1st and 2nd in GAA and 1st and 4th in SV%. LOL.

Mason's numbers are surprisingly good.

Another game where the Oilers have had zero real chances thus far. Only this time they are playing a team that's almost as bad as they are.

Oilers are literally losing every single 50/50 puck battle

“I think both those players are at a similar crossroads,” MacTavish told the radio station.
“Sometimes change is good for both the organization and the player, but at the same time they’re valuable players and we’re not in a position where we’re able to move them without getting something substantial in return…I have a lot of allegiance and a lot of loyalty to ‘Horc’ and to Ales. I have a lot of respect for both those players. But from both those perspectives, I think the ideal scenario would be to move them on and wish them the best in their next destination.”

Doesn't deal him then holds a kiss and make up press conference. The GM singles out a player saying it's best you move on and then can't make it happen. Just horrible. How do you expect Hemsky to give it his all after being treated like that?

Would be funny if Belov gets suspended (not saying he should)...at least they have a glut of Giordanos available

Lol I hope Giroux scores 3 goals this pp. Belov didn't even make contact to the head from the replay

The Oilers are a confusing team, on the one hand watching them lose is pure entertainment, I don't want to have them ccompeting against us for high draft picks. We just can't out-suck the Oilers.

While he didn't actually hit his head, that is the exact hit they are trying to eliminate. I don't hate the penalty...I probably wouldn't be stoked if it was on a Flame early in the game, but I'm okay with them erring on the side of caution with these Scott Stevenesque hits. Too many real life consequences.
