Pretty big to be comparing him to Langkow.
Not that I expect the same amount of offense. But their games have similarities.

I think that's Henry's attempt at saying that Knight could be our next Langkow..
So what do we think the lines are going to be now?

I wouldn't mine seeing Galiardi (with more ice time has done less than Sven but seems to be one of Hartley's guys) dropped to the bottom two lines or scratched so Sven and Max can have a chance on the top two lines. Galiardi is what he is at this point in his career and I don't see why he get's a permanent spot on the top 6.

So far this year, I would say Reinhart probably would be slightly more offensive minded then Horak right now.
Both him and Horak have been shooting on net like crazy, Reinhart seems to be having a little more success getting it in though.

I loved what Max brought at the end of last season. To be honest, when I think of the turn-around in form that the team had after all the trades I actually think of him as the catalyst. The guy has serious leadership capabilities, and I can't wait to see him on a line with Bouma...

I'd expect something like
Galiardi - Stajan - Cammalleri
Backlund - Colborne - Jones
Baertschi - Monahan - Hudler
Bouma - Reinhart - McGrattan

Somewhat OT, but that suddenly made me think of Paul Byron.

Kind of like how Nashville is defenceman factory, and Anaheim is a goalie factory, I think the Flames seem to be turning into a 3rd line centreman factory.
Between Stajan, Backlund, Colborne, Reinhart, Knight, Monahan, and probably soon-to-be Jankowski, the Flames could provide a 3rd line C for every team in the division.

Well line rushes today in practice were:
Bouma-Stajan-Jones
Cammalleri-Colborne-Galiardi
Jackman-Monahan-Hudler
Baertschi-Backlund-McGrattan
So take that as is, or expect Reinhart to slot probably in either where Jackman is or where Baertschi is. Possibly McGrattan sits but I doubt it.

That's ridiculous though. I am sure Knight would rather be the first call up even if it wasn't permanent. NHL salary? Yes please. Chance to prove yourself and force a trade? Yes please. If he has indeed been the best player then he should have been rewarded as such. Meritocracy and all. I guess that maybe because we need a winger to replace Glencross? Seeing as Max has converted to the wing this year it still doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Fan of Reinharts. Hope he makes it tough to be sent back down and the trades at the deadline easier.

There is no way Monahan is a third line center. Maybe his line is positioned that way on the depth chart but he's the teams leading goal scorer and second on the team for points, only behind his linemate Hudler. And Hudler isn't a third line winger.
I get what you're saying but Monahan is a tallented centre, not a third liner.

I will be very dissapointed if this is the lineup tomorrow.
I hope for:
Galiardi-Stajan-Jones
Backlund-Colborne-Cammalleri
Baertschi-Monahan-Hudler
Reinhart-Bouma-Jackman/McGrattan
Jackman or McGrattan under no circumstances should be played in the top 9.

BLAH. definitely agree. Get Jackman away from Top 9...
Certainly Bouma shouldn't be top 6 either..
Only positive thing for those practice lines were at least Baertschi and Backlund would get to play off each other.

Sweet, I was hoping this would happen! Now for Glencross/Stempniak to get healthy so we can finally put Jackman on waivers and be done with him.

Also of note, Berra is starting tomorrow vs the team that drafted and traded him.
Wes Gilbertson @SUNGilbertson
Also, #Flames Bob Hartley confirms that G Reto Berra will make a third straight start against Blues. Tight-lipped on other lineup decisions.
