Excellent news, nice guy but there is no way a guy his age & playing as poorly as he has, should be on this team.

If the Macdonald from last year showed up in camp he would be the #1 goalie.
Instead we saw a poor camp, poor play and a shadow of the guy. It was like he figured the spot would be given to him and forgot to work for it.
Good luck to him, but he had his chance here.

Calling the goal lucky is being extremely generous to himself.
Also, I really despise when goalies play the "when I make a mistake, everybody knows about it" card. It's embarrassing, especially at the NHL level.
The other guys in the room never said a word about weak goaltending, why does he have to pin the loss on them?
A goalie that is a true team player would've manned up and admitted he had a terrible game.

Lucky goal? how about you own up to it. This isn't the first time. See ya later.

Can these comments be part of the reason he got waived?
Because lord knows we all knew he was terribad before last night.

I'm not going to jump for joy over a guy losing his job, but this makes sense for Calgary. See what you've got in the two Europeans and get the two prospects up in the ahl. Having an old goalie who wasn't carrying the load didn't make sense.

I thought that as well but i think it is more likely that he knew he was going to get waived if he lost and just said what was on his mind.

Both McDonald and Ramo have let in some soft goals this season and neither are num 1 goalies yet, they might be down the line but the Flames don't need 2 work in progress goalies, they need a good solid num 1 with a reliable back up and at the min all they have is 2 decent back ups at best!

Hope he finds somewhere to go, has come in as advertised as a career backup, and done an ok job after back surgery.
For Feaster, peeling away one layer of the onion, and now his self proclaimed highly touted goalies are front and center on display with no excuses.
And, Hartley's lost a scapegoat, even if he is the reason some games the Flames need that extra stop. Same could've applied to Ramo this year too, especially the Toronto game.

The lucky goal line is a stretch, if not out right BS, but his comments about the guys in front of him were bang on.

Truth is we still don't even know what we have in Ramo, let alone Berra.
I'll admit it isn;t looking the greatest but I see enough potential and skill in Ramo's game that I think he can be an average #1 goalie.

Yeah, and the rest of the team would've been bang on if they said weak goaltending was a huge letdown early in the 3rd.
Did they say that? No. Because they're good teammates.
Learn to stop the puck Joey, leave the criticism to Hartley/Feaster/Burke etc...

Wonder if some sort of trade is in the works vs. calling up Berra? Just reading some of the comments here it sounds like Berra isn't exactly the answer quite yet.
Burke doesn't strike me as a wait it out till the end of the year type of guy either..

I still think Ramo needs more games to get comfortable in net and understand our (weak) defensive system.
