What? You said the brawl was the reason for the turn around. Now it's Darryl?
tisk.... where did I say it was the reason, I said it was the beginning. big difference.
It was the first brick that build the foundation for that team coming together. the turnaround started long before our hero Sutter arrived... I'm not saying the Brawl was the sole reason, but it was the beginning of our team coming together as a team

No, it really wasn't. We were terrible after that brawl up until the second half of the 03-04 season when Kipper was acquired from the Sharks.
it has absolutely nothing to do with the brawl a few years prior.

An elite coach was the reason this team rose and the exit of that coach, replaced by lesser coaches was the reason we are where we are.
Really curious to see some posters recognize good coaching when it suits them and ignore it when it doesn't.
I'll be real curious where i said that... just because you make it up doesn't mean I said it.
Never said it was the sole reason.... never said a word about coaching. All I said it was the beginning. There is no beginning without a middle and an end. The beginning isn't the whole story folks. Most know what I was referring to (agree or disagreeing)

The fights at the end of this game is why the NHL is and will continue to be a joke as long as it allows fighting. It was like an old school WWF battle royal. Good stuff eh?! If one fight is good, the more the better.

The ref should be fined and/or suspended for letting that crap happen. Sees him unwilling to fight and then sees Holtby take several shots to the back of the head and sits and watches and also doesn't let another Cap player break it up.
There isn't much a single official can do in that situation but get someone hurt. There's a reason why they always break fights up in pairs.
Anyway, I agree on Emery. That was pretty gutless, and he deserves a few games for it.
Raymond had to send a message to holtby.....hopefully holtby checked his incoming messages and now understands that the flyers will not tolerate his style of goaltending.....

That is one way to make our current goalies look better get one of the few goalies who are worse than they are this year.
Based on what has he worked twice as hard as anybody?
Perhaps a slight exaggeration, but having avascular necrosis as a goaltender is an insane hurdle to overcome. Rebuilding your strength and ability to a point where you can play is pretty impressive after your bones and joints start to disintegrate inside your body.
