Shots are 36-16 in favour of LA and it's 1-1. I haven't been watching but Bachman must be playing pretty good.
LA has a goal called back due to goalie interference. Looked like the right call to me.

So I'm bored at work so I was checking HFOilers from time to time through the game ... pure gold over there. Here's the best two of the night:
"Does Bachman have the best glove in the nhl?"
"I wouldn't even trade Bachman for Kadri"

Well I'm sure that the Oilers will win more games then the Eskimos this year. But I wouldn't necessarily put money on it.

I'd say the Kadri comment was a joke in response to Dreger saying the Leafs wouldn't trade Reimer for Yakupov. At least I hope so anyway.
As for the glovehand comment, no excuse for that, hahaha Oilers fans!!

What is especially ridiculous is to listen to the constant spin that eager Oilers apologist, Bob Stauffer, will put on this. He is ALWAYS pumping the Oilers after every loss for how good they have been playing, based on their (often minuscule) positive shot differential. What does he have to say following a night in which the Oilers are utterly dominated? The backpedal was in full effect.
Something else that I found hilarious was how he was quick to jump on the "good call" bandwagon concerning the goaltender interference call that cost LA the game winner. What is so funny is that this was nearly precisely the same play in the previous game in Phoenix, in which Pitlik was called for goalie interference, and Stauffer was LIVID about it.

anyone else worried that the oilers might actually get another top five prospect? At first I laughed it off because it was just funny watching them struggle. We are headed into November soon and they have what, one regulation win? They should be way better then this. All the flack feaster took about the wandering in the desert seems pretty bang on now.

Why should anyone be worried about that?
If the Oilers have proved anything over the course of the past five years, it is two things: First, one cannot possibly build a competitive hockey team by way of the first round of the NHL entry draft to the exclusion of rounds 2–7. The Oilers have failed in large part because virtually every player that they have selected outside of the first round is so far trending to be a marginal NHL product.
Second, it is that Edmonton appears to be either subpar in their scouting, or extremely poor at developing their prospects. Is the issue one of scouting? Development? Both? I would venture that it is probably both, but even if it is one or the other, the chances of them altering the course in the space of a year or two is laughable.
They have MUCH work to do that MIGHT begin to yield some fruit on ice in the following four or five seasons.

Yeah I'm not really worried about the Oilers getting another top 5 pick. As long as KLown is running the show there we all know it's not going to matter how much paper talent they accumulate.

What i am worried about is them sucking enough to pick ahead of us. Would hate for them to get a player the flames really wanted...kind of like us getting monahan.
