I like Cammy. Glad to hear that he will be playing soon.

exactly. Don't think it affects Sven and Sean at all ... and the way they are playing, I hope they are going nowhere. My guess is that once Stajan and Jones are back, B. Jones goes back to Abby and Jackman is waived.

Glencross - Stajan - Stempniak
Cammalleri - Backlund - Jones
Baertschi - Monahan - Hudler
Bouma - Colborne - Galiardi
Street, McGrattan

I really really like that lineup (with what we've got).

Agreed. If anything, we need to improve our D before we look at upgrades to the F group.

Has Blair Jones even played a game since being called up? I hope he gets sent back down when Cammy returns... What a waste of a roster spot.

Not really a waste. You have to carry 23 in case of injuries. Why sit someone who would benefit from playing?

^ Oh man do we need to improve our D. I actually really like our forward depth, and save for injuries, wouldn't be worried about our offensive production with that lineup. But Feaster needs to get to work on the back end. We've got to replace that 5/6 pairing. Or at least swap Butler/Smith for a legitimate top 4 to play with Wideman and allow Russell to play where he's probably best suited (though he's been pretty good). At the very least, promote Breen and play him on the bottom pairing. At least he brings size, something we sorely lack on the back end.

We're 5th in GF/G, 28th in GA/G, so yeah, agreed. Wideman has too much load and both Brodie and Russel could benefit from slightly more sheltered minutes, especially against bigger teams. It's a bit of a problem that our "physical" 3rd pairing isn't really that physical and needs to be sheltered so much.

Interviews with Cammy & Hartley up on the Flames website. Hartley says Cammalleri will be a game-time decision tomorrow. Cammy says it's up to the coaches & trainers & to me it sounds as though he thinks he's ready.

Cammy looked pretty happy to be back in that interview. Hope he comes in and plays great. My guess is he's in tomorrow nights lineup. Something like this.

Baertschi-Monahan-Hudler
Glencross-Backlund-Stempniak
Cammalleri-Colborne-Galiardi
Bouma-Street-McGrattan

Giordano-Brodie
Wideman-Russell
Breen-O'Brien

Ramo

i'm a bit worried that reports were saying he couldn't hold a stick till very recently. for a goalscorer/shooter, that might be hard to come back from immediately.

Hope he's getting better and ready to contribute. We could definitely use a guy with skill and know-how.

Sounds from his interview that he's not that close to 100%. Hope they don't let him rush himself, there's really no point this season. As much as we could use more veterans in the lineup.

I don't want him to play tonight agains the kings. Too physical of a team and if he's not at 100% then it's too risky. Another injury to his hand now would set him back a long time. Wait for it to heal fully and get back then. I honestly can't wait to see him play this year, I think he's going to go on a tare as soon as he's back

I don't see how Galliardi doesn't move to the fourth and displaces Bouma with Cammalleri back, unless Horak sits.

If Glencross continues to struggle he may end up scratched at some point. I like both Bouma & Galiardi in this team. So much hussle & jam.

Would you rather see Bouma scratched or Street?

Cammalleri in Horak's spot and Horak in Street's spot

No way you sit Bouma or throw Galiardi on the 4th line

I don't see why Galiardi is a no go for the fourth line, or why Colborne couldn't end up back there.

But playing Horak instead of Street also works for me.

I just think Galiardi has been one of our 4 or 5 best forwards this season.

What does putting him on the 4th line say?
