I still wear a Phanuef jersey. Any time somebody gives me a hard time, I just tell them I'll buy a new jersey when the Flames start winning. They usuall shut right up. I like wearing authentic jerseys. And getting a new jersey every time a player leaves the team could start to add up.
I did buy a new authentic jersey at the last game last season for 50% off. Still havent decided who's name to put on it. It might take me a while.

Making the trek in December to watch the game vs the Avs. Are there Monahan jerseys at FanAttic? This will replace and retire my Iginla jersey.

If he's still in Calgary in December, there will almost certainly be jerseys at the Dome.

Great Plains Cresting is where I've had I think about 6 jersey's done over the years. They do amazing work. I don't think wearing a jersey of a former player is a foul, if they used to play, then it's fine. Players get traded or retire etc., not your fault for having their jersey.
I saw an Ovechkin jersey at the Dome, being crested at the Fan Attic. Major foul and it was being heat pressed, which isn't the best way of ding it in my opinion. Makes the jersey more uncomfortable.

If you're the one paying $150+ for a crested jersey put whatever you want on it. If you want a #00 with Iluvbigbutts for a name then more power to you. I like seeing oddball jerseys, as long as you don't deface the flaming C that is.

More on topic, fake jersey's is about my only real pet peeve. I guess I'm just far less up tight than some by the looks of it.

One of my friends has an old late 90s Canucks jersey. He wants to have "MESSIER 11" on the back. Would they give him a discount, if he wore it to the games the Canucks were in town, to piss of Vancouver fans?
In all seriousness though, I was looking at getting this done. Thanks to the OP, for creating this thread.

If you get a jersey, put whatever you want on it. Heck, get fake ones if you really want. Be whoever you want to be.
I didn't realized CP was getting so (do-she) about dress codes. In all honesty, I don't care what you wear as long as you cheer for the Flames.
What's next....I think some people are going to care what kind of shoes you wear with certain jerseys.

I've always bought the authentic game sweaters, pricey as they are, I just can't go less than. That being said, I own a Fluery 1994 white, and an Iginla 2004 red crested sweater. I also own 2 others, snot nosed horse head, (my wife's first Xmas birthday gift to me) and the retro third, these have my name, and the cup year 89 as a number. When the new third comes out, ill do that as well, because I'm going to see where this team goes, and who ill I'll choose next time to support with a cresting. Mono and bad boy Bart are front runners obviously, but this team isn't done, who knows what's coming.... And If I suck it up and buy the heritage classic (ugly but I did go to the game) I'll put kippers name on that one.
I guess my point is I think that there are personal reasons why people wear what they do, sweater wise. It's almost like a tattoo, really. And because I see It's personal, I don't judge anyone on what they shell out THEIR hard earned cash for.
That being said, I will contradict myself a little, and not a fan of players on sweaters they never worn. *shrugs*

It is a jersey foul to tuck it in your pants.
Only wear red for the playoffs, not your lucky white jersey or Heritage Classic.
Should CPers put their usernames on the back?

I have a 2005 jersey I'd like to get personalized. Something I've been wondering is if it's possible to get older jerseys personalized with the correct font and color, cause I suppose it's a definate faux pas to put the wrong number/name design on a jersey?

Great Plains will crest it with the proper font/numbers etc., no matter what time period it is from.
