The guy has played 20 minutes as a Flame, pretty early to say that he brings nothing to the team.
In his limited time he actually leads the team in hits (6) and has not looked that bad, especially considering he is still trying to get used to the system and style of play.
It's only been three games and CP already wants to give up on younger players, trade for another goalie, and fire the coach.

I dont see it here. Quite honestly, the expectations of this team going into this season were really simple: 'Hot Garbage.'
I see this season as Ramo's freebie and everyone else's chance ton show that they're better than him.
I hope Edmonton signs him though. The guy is marginal at best. He reminds me a bit of Ray Emery. He can be really good in stretches but hes not your man for the long haul.

What Toronto would want from us would likely sink this deal. We cant afford to deal away young prospects for Reimer. As good as he is this team isn't ready to win now anyways, so why sink future us by dealing away young talent? Besides there's a chance that we have a great goaltender already in this org.

Based on how many games? Ramo played one game in the season and MacDonald two games. 3 games and they are questionable already. I get it Ramo is pretty much a rookie but give the guy a break. If the Flames coaching staff ie: Darryl Sutter and company did not give Kiprusoff a chance to show what he can do in 2004, we will not find out how awesome the guy was. Calgary's goaltending was questionable that season too. Besides, I thought Calgary Flames is in a rebuilding season. We don't need another re-thread Toronto Maple Leafs in this team. So far Bernier been playing more than Reimer and I believed Reimer only played one game so don't count the guy out yet. And please stop this non-sense about the Burke connection. You guys were ticked off the Ken King and the upper management for meddling on Feaster's business but now it is okay for the President of Hockey Operation to meddle on Feaster's business? Calgary Flames fans are so hard to please..

CP is not a conscious entity. There are lots of individuals with opinions. There's some guys that never liked Hartley from the start, some think our goaltending is a problem, and I personally don't like Joe Colbourne as a NHL player. It's easy to paint a bunch of people with a single brush and write off all their opinions as one in the same, isn't it?

I have no interest in Reimer. Zero.
However, I would be extremely interested in seeing Edmonton trade for him.
That would give them TWO marginal goalies - at not tiny cap hits - and make it all but impossible for them to solve their goaltending woes anytime soon.
And if they overpay in the trade - all the better!

It's a good thing to meddle in Feaster's business.

Given the Oilers situation, lousy goaltender who lets in lousy goals at lousy times.
Mac-T's contract signing prowness (lack of)
The desperation that the Oilers have in making strides forward.
The lack of anything really valuable below their top 6 and maybe one of their defensemen
any GM worth his mettle is going to hold Edmonton hostage and rape em if they want a goalie.
The pitchforks and burning torches are starting to close in on Klown and the rest of that management staff. Make no mistake if the Oilers don't make significant steps towards the playoffs, Lowe and his whole management group have to go and that includes Mac-T.
Look for a desparation trade by the Oilers if they get hammered over the next couple of games.

He won't make it there, either St. Louis will extend him (probably) or he will get dealt and his new team will extend him. I wouldn't worry about it, Flames have lots of cap to ink him.

No chance Edmonton trades for Reimer. Hes not a upgrade on Dubynk and Mac T knows that. If they make a trade for a goalie it would be someone like Miller.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Bryzgalov to the Oilers if Dubnyk's struggles continue. I'm with most others...no thanks to Reimer. lets see what our kids can do first!

I don't see the Flames making any moves for goaltending at this point.
Maybe if it's after Christmas and the Flames are still scoring a lot but losing these same 5-4 type games (and have given all three of Berra, Ramo, and MacDonald a chance to take the reins), they might make a move. Otherwise, I don't really see the value in doing anything.
The Oilers, on the other hand, will likely shake things up before the end of the month if they don't turn things around quickly.

Prediction: James Reimer will be a Flame or Oiler
Neither.
Reimer isn't the solution to the Oilers problems and the Flames don't have a problem.

Miller will cost the Oilers one of their big 6.
not because that's what he's worth, but because that's all that the Oilers have that's tradable

I think it is, but given the current situation, it doesn't need to be addressed for a couple of years. Definitely not after 3 games.
