Cant be to upset with this one when its all said and done.

Joey rebound still scares me but he made some remarkable saves tonight, Glencross made a horrendous mistake and hopefully that lights a fire under him.

The young guys were really good though and as a team who is just starting a rebuild, thats encouraging. Stayed with it even after getting into a funk that cost them the lead...tied it up and escape with a point.

Much much better product than i expected to see a week ago.

Heartbreaking for sure, but at the start of the season if you told me we'd see this kind of effort and attitude from the Flames to go along with strong play(and results!) from Monahan I'd happily take it.

Who cares how the play set up, McGrattan was put on the ice against a Sedin. What was the reasoning?

that third period was just horrid.

bad coaching, bad defensive play from our "veterans".

on paper we weren't supposed to win this game but wow is it frustrating when you put yourself in a position to win and blow it on a few costly mistakes -_-

Should see Ramo next game. Hope he can take the opportunity and run with it.

We definitely need to get bigger at the back though....it's way too easy for opposing teams to get good positioning in tight.

People are going to take their turn and bash Hartley, just as I did/do (hehe) with Sutter.

Here's my take. At least this young Flames squad wrangled a point from a team they have been spanked by (usually 5-1 or more) under Sutter.

Mcgratten was on against the 4th line by then the sedins came on and he couldnt get off.

He should know better and clear that puck up the broads

SOB and Buttersoft were flat out awful this game.
Any time there seemed to be a Canucks scoring chance
sure enough those 2 were out there.

Monahan being a -3 on the night is quite misleading. He played a great game and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when the rest of the team made boneheaded plays

I think this is how much of our season will go. Fun hockey to watch, but slip ups that cost wins.

Impressed with the push back from the Flames. Glad to see the don't lay down and die when they give up the lead late in the game.

Why was McGratton in the lineup anyway against a Canucks team that didn't ice a scrapper? I'm all for having the guy in the lineup against opponents that have their own goon but there has to be a better option on a night like tonight. 4th line got badly outplayed.

Glencross, McGratton and Wideman (in that order) fight over the "goat" label.

Monahan and Stempniak were the best two Flames.

Yeah, doesn't help when the usual defensive pairing his line seemed to be out with was Butler and O'Brien.

I hate hate Hate when we give up leads to the Canucks in the 3rd.

Happens way too often in our building. We need to learn how to lock things down. And that goes for any opponent. Definitely growing pains. If we were more physical in the 3rd and OT we could've at least forced them to back down a bit. But we let them skate circles as soon as that third goal went in..

Oh and can we rotate Butler out now, please?

Sucks to give up two leads in your first 3 games... not a healthy state.

Also frustrating that this team can never seem to win in OT or SO.

Rookies and young players (Baertschi, Monahan, Brodie) played very well tonight.

Probably because he played last game and helped the team won. He even earned himself a "fricken" thread. Let's not find coaches mistakes where they aren't here

fun game, i'll take a few more of those this year

Flames should ditch the dead weight vets, keep the right ones for guidance and run with the kids. I saw more gusto and will in this game then i saw in multiple Flames games combined the last couple seasons.
