Shows his intention of sticking around and earning an NHL contract. Wish him the best. Had a huge burden in the form of that long term contract. Can be a top 3rd goalie in the league when he finds his confidence again.

Have to think that a team or 2 are thinking about signing Bryz other wise he would be in Europe.
As for Pitt they might have changed their mind on the Vet back-up. Vokoun is going to be out 3-6 months. Not saying they will sign Bryz but i could see them picking up Clemmeson off waivers today.

Just checked the Wranglers schedule, and they're on the road when I'm in Vegas next month. I would have gone to see a game for sure. Went to see them years ago when they were a Flames affiliate. Odd walking through a casino to get to a hockey game.

If Ramo and MacDonald are both terrible I would sign him.
Heck he would be worth it just for the awesome interviews.

Weird that the Pens wouldn't offer him something with Vokoun being out. Maybe he doesnt want to be a backup?

They don't have the cap. But there is no way Bryzgalov is worse than Joey Mac and if Ramo/Berra don't turn out this season he could be our best option

He did turn down a PTO from Florida, so I think he has a few specific teams in mind. He doesn't need the money anymore.

Maybe he just wants to have fun playing Vegas. Why not? He doesn't need the money, and if he does, there's a Blackjack table at every corner.

Surprised there is any interest in having him here. If he played Stellar he might be good enough to drag us into 9th place. No thanks, let's develop one of our 1/2 dozen goalies that are already in the system.

Heard an interview with the wranglers GM today and he was saying that Bryzgalov only signed on to train with the team, to stay in game form.

I like a youthful team that tries to win. Seems to be what we have. Bryz is an upgrade on our goalies, so why not take him?
No one wants to see Flames fail just to get ekblad or Reinhardt.
Flames are drafting really well now. The team will be good even without blue chip kids.
But yeah, it's probably early to give up on ramo and berra. Flames just need a bridge to Gillies.

It is two games, but from the sounds of the players and coaches talking the whole team is buying into the identity that management wants them to be.
Bryzgalov was reportedly a locker room cancer in Philly. Granted most of these reports came out after he was bought out, but given that the team seems to be coming together, I don't think you want to risk that at this point.

There is no proof that they are drafting well and certainly nothing to indicate that they will be good without blue chip kids.
At his best Bryz makes this team a bottom 10 team instead of bottom 5 team. The most likely scenario is that he gets the team 1 or 2 more wins. He has been a head case and wasn't bought out because of his contract but because of his really poor play.
There seems to be 0 upside and only downside to signing him to a goalie group that is already overcrowded.
