If his value drops to close to nothing, it wouldn't surprise me to see Buffalo use a compliance buyout on him.
$683k over 10 years if they choose to buy him out this summer.

Myers hockey IQ is so low. On the 5 on the 3 power play all he did was shot it into the defender in front of him 3 times! I was a big fan of his when he was drafted but I expected his IQ to go up as the years went by, but it's honestly looking like a lost cause at the moment.

I'd take Myers and a pick if they'd like to have Butler back. I don't think he's that bad, nor do I think Buffalo is near that desperate, but if it ever came to that.

Yeah I'd take Myers only if we're giving up very little value.
I think the pressure of a big money contract got to him. It looks like he second guesses everything he does.

Giroux gets away with a lot of hooking and stick infractions while forechecking. Got away with a couple of clear hooks already tonight.

I am not so sure... The Flames have at least 2 years, probably 3, where the cap will be a non-issue. In 3 years, $5.5m will be the price of a number 3 d-man. And he would have 2 years left.
If we could get him cheap, I think it's a decent risk. He might be done, but he might just need a change of scenery and a fresh start.
Butler and Byron for Myers and a 2nd.
