Calgary garbage pick-up

That was me, and growing up I am sure that was the norm. I posted that on CP and certainly haven't lived it down!

A few years ago I left out a bunch of empties and we watched from the house as the garbage man lifted it all up and chucked it in the crusher. Now I tip cash.

But back to the OP, they clear our blue and black bins max three times a month, usually twice. I don't think they have quite the route system for collection figured out yet.

I have asked a garbage man that I know about tipping and he told me that he would be fired if he were ever caught accepting a tip. So to answer your question, yes wait outside and make sure his boss isn't around to see it.

If you miss the old system, you can always move to Edmonton. Everything goes, and it is wonderful. 20 bags, no problem. They have been known to take construction waste too.
