I'm here.
Gonna go with Habs, Hawks and Jets winning today.
- Leafs/Habs... I probably would have started Bernier in Montreal if I was the Leafs.
- Caps/Hawks... The Caps are an interesting team but I think it will take them a while to gel with all their young add-ons.
- Oilers aren't going to win much with a center group of Hall, Gordon, Arcobello and Acton...

I have a feeling the Habs/Leafs game is going to be a bloodbath. Loads of toughness on these two teams.
Sheifele is going to get two goals and an assist in a 5-0 drubbing of the Oilers.

Plus the Hawks will dominate all of you, AGAIN.
*fades off into a blissful flight of ignorance*
...wait, is that seriously the Oilers group of centers?
Jesus, that's embarrassing.

No more embarrassing than what the Flames would look like if you removed Stajan and Backlund.

This is the first ever regular season visit for the new Jets to Edmonton.
It must be a very exciting night for those poor souls who have the misfortune of being both Jets fans and Edmonton residents. I hope they can take the shotguns out of their mouths long enough to enjoy the game.

Welp, it's the first day of the season. I'm sure you all know what the #1 spot will be on SC's top 10.
God dammit, White.

Leafs-Habs: 0-0 through 60 rounds of shootout, resulting in loser points for both teams.
Caps-Hawks: 11-10 Hawks in OT, 4 goalies see ice time in the game.
Jets-Oilers: 13-0 Jets. All 6 Oil alternate captains leave the ice crying.

Can someone tell me why CBC decided to enthrall us with 10 minutes of "Kings of Leon" as part of their pre-game show. Could they not be disusing the season, the game, the teams playing or something or actual value. I wonder what they paid Kings of Leon to play. Good use of tax payers money. We're here to watch hockey not some crap band.

Montreal has the dumbest pregame ceremonies in the NHL.
Only topped by the Senators a few years back.

One of these Habs will drop the torch and it will melt a big freakin hole in the ice and that will delay the process even longer.

This pre-game ceremony is so gay! Not that there's anything wrong with being gay.

I can't believe they're doing the "pass the torch" thing again.

I thought Rene Bourque was going to become a flame again with his hair product head that close to the torch.
