Here's hoping Monahan now has a reason to stay past 9 games. Reinhart should get a good chance too.

. @NHLFlames GM Jay Feaster up next on HC @ Noon. We'll talk about Mike Cammalleri's injury. @FAN590

He's actually had a strong camp. Would be worth a one year deal. Letting the kids play is important but having guys like raymond does help the depth in case it goes awry, like losing cammy long term. Not a bad move IMO.

But we already have Baertschi and Glencross to play LW (and Galiardi if he doesn't play centre)... why can't we give the younger players we already have a chance?
Raymond isn't part of a solution.

I don't really think it would help that much. We have more than enough veteran depth to fill in the 2nd / 3rd lines. With Cammi down we need to fill a hole in the top line and I do not believe Raymond really helps with that.
I would rather watch Sven try to handle the minutes instead of signing another veteran to clog up the depth charts.

Yeah, if Cammy is out for a long period of time. I can't see the Flames sending Monahan back to Jr. My guess is Monahan is staying with the Flames full time and we'll see Granlund or Reinhart with the Flames to start the season.

It was the Butler...in the Library...with an iron pipe (hockey stick).
The Butler needs to go.

Flames' Feaster on Cammalleri: Unsure if he'll play Wednesday. Goal is to have him ready for start of regular season.

Is Granlund even still in the mix to make the team? The pre-season games i saw him in were pretty "meh". He did not play with good players, but he did not look any better than the players he was playing with. Judging by the line-up tonight, i think there are a 2-3 players ahead of him at having a shot to make the team.

Unfortunate to hear. Hopefully it is not that bad and he can be ready for the season opener. And if not should give one of the kids a good opportunity.

Flames have lots of depth at wing. Unless for some reason Cammi was going to miss the entire season i would think bringing in Raymond would be pointless.

hands are funny when injured.
I have some soft tissue injuries in one of mine that occurred 3 years ago and it still pains me to this day.
Hopefully, Cammi doesn't have the same issues.

With the amount of prospects fighting for positions on the wing I don't mind having a couple veteran injuries. There are so few positions as is, this will at the very least open a spot in the top 6 for David Jones.

I could see SOB doing something dumb, hurting Cammalleri and motivating Glencross to step in.

You know he's on OUR team now, right? SOB may be many things, but I can't see him trying to injure his smaller offensive teammate in practice.

It likely happened in the game against the Oilers. He played that game and hasn't participated in a practice or game since.
