IYC he is or was Canadian, and is the son of Barbara Frum. He is kind of an anti-tea party conservative.

CNN just said the dead shooter has been identified as "Aaron Alexis" an American, from Texas and apparently a military contractor.

You're kidding, right? That entire list was sarcastic. Do you read it thinking that "All gun owners are to be complimented as responsible and law-abiding until they personally have hurt themselves or somebody else" was a serious post?

Have you seen some of the gun guys being interviewed about why allowing teachers to carry concealed weapons is a good idea? Some of the statements that come from this group are far more outrageous than that.

So is the report of 3 inaccurate or are they simply only identifying the remaining shooter?

Not sure. Now they are saying there is possibly a second, but I don't think they know yet or at least aren't telling the media.

They're reported on CNN that the FBI has confirmed there was only a single shooter (the dead guy), but there is someone else that "might be involved" that they're still looking for. No confirmation on how this person might be involved.

First off, MattyC, that was priceless.

Secondly, a thread title change is in order as there was only one shooter.

Got the guy in to the facility - don't they need specific credentials to gain entry? Aren't they confused at how he gained entry? Or did I miss a new update?

incredibly sad... but also incredibly predictable.

feel badly for all the victim's families.

But it won't change a single thing in the states. In fact, I bet ammo and gun sales go up, just as they did after Sandy Hook and NRA membership will experience a 'bump'.

such is the mindset of many Americans.

My bad for missing the sarcasm guys, but as a few pointed out, the comments in the post are not really far off from a lot of things I've heard from gun fanatics and NRA chest-pounders.

Bullet proof whiteboards in schools? Maybe there's a different problem here...

NRA reaction to the shooting? "Not enough good guys with guns".

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/39722...00003&ir=Media

So sad. If I had a family member that was affiliated with the NRA, I think would consider disowning them.
