That Wham album was not bad. Decent example of 80's pop. There was much worse stuff than that.

Mine is the Yung Guns soundtrack. I don't know why I thought it would be good, hadn't even seen the move. Listened to the tape once, then taped over it...

Carmina Burana is pretty good, as long as you skip the first two completely overplayed tracks Mutter is also a solid Rammstein album.

But I've bought so many albums over the years that there's no way to remember the really bad ones.

I think I had Dig Your Own Hole by the Chemical brothers. Mostly boring.

EDIT: Oh, this ones pretty recent: Smiling Faces: The best of Undisputed Truth.

Good funk albums by a single artist are rare in general.

ha ha... yeah, when I saw the thread title, that is the first album that came to my mind. I bought it the same day as Garbage's first record (I think). I bought it on a whim as I absolutely loved that first track, so I figured there had to be at least one other good song on there (meeting my then 'need 2 good songs to buy the album' rule). Wrong!

I felt so ripped off to this day I call getting hosed on an album purchased 'getting/being spacehogged'.

I should probably feel shame for spending money on both Crazy Frog albums, but I really don't.

Is this because you just buy the singles from iTunes instead, or are you saying you just don't pay for music?

This.

Columbia House was the worst thing to ever happen to my album collection. Half the records in the 8 or so for 1c were wrong.

Wrong in more ways than one as well.

St Anger is a great choice. I have Cyberpunk as well, which is awful.

However, I think this is the winner:

I've started paying for music more recently (only singles, never bought an album yet) but back in the day, there wasn't a convenient way to buy Electronic Dance music in Canada. No albums in stores, I wasn't old enough to have a credit card for itunes (if they even had edm songs back then?) and my fob parents would never let me use theirs on the internet. Also, the only way you could find new edm music was by downloading massive packs with a ton of random songs and seeing if there was anything decent in them.

You guys all really hate that album? I quite like it. It has a few really strong tracks, and I think it hangs together well as an album. One of favourite 90s nostalgia albums.

Terrible albums that I have:
* I bought a Creed album once. To be fair, I was like 12.
* Zuckerbaby, ugh.
* ZWAN
* Some live Blink-182 album where they make masturbation jokes interspersed with the occasional song.

When I was about 12 or 13, I bought an album of a dirt bike race. I was into dirt biking then, I saw it, and it was called something like,Can Am 250cc dirt bike race. I didn't know what to expect, but the whole album, was basically,,,, a dirt bike race. so that was bad. Listened to it once and didn't think I needed to hear it again.

I used to buy albums just for the covers, and I got some real crap then. Never even heard of the band, but thought they'd be good judging by the cover.

KISS - Unmasked

http://web.archive.org/web/200306260...unmasked.shtml

When this first stumbled out of my speakers, I began to wonder why I was listening to a hit for the next Journey reunion in 2006. The whole album suffers from the same coating of pop and begins to feel less like Kiss and more an more like a car full of guys who won't pull over and ask for directions back to rock and roll.

I bought this because the single "Walking on the sun" was awesome, the rest of it was totally different and just awful. Much like other examples I've seen in this thread, Fastball was another great example of a misleading single...
