They remind me of the weird stripes that Nike added to the NFL jerseys last year. I'm sure it's also why we've been seeing teams adding text and designs to the inside of their collars and stuff like the guitar string stripes on the numbers on the Predators' jerseys.

You really think they're going to go to those lengths for something that will be worn 6-8 times, just to throw off the Chinese knock off makers?

It's not as if those have some secuirty effects like paper money. Some plastic/rubberish leafs attached to the shoulder should be something the good replica makers should be able to whip up in a few minutes if they really wanted to.

Also I believe the collars in the NFL are for more stretch and strength within the fabric. The replica makers can just as easily add some text inside of the collar as well.

Yes those are the jerseys (seen them a year ago from Nike, as that's when we had to order them).

I can't remember what thread it was in but I did a MS paint version that night for CP I I think they did have a touch of gold (can't remember for sure though)
