Burke is one of the guys Feaster speaks highly of, but I wonder what he thinks now. More importantly, who will get the most mic time?

I like this. Anything that gets done in terms of contracts and trades will all go through Burke. This is good.

I am a fan of feaster but having Burke's experience will only be positive.

Looking forward to the future!

I love that he hates the Can'tucks, Ducks and Coilers. So great.

I think this means Ken King will be less hands on with the Flames hockey operations and stick to business operations.

Jay Feaster looks like he knows he's a dead man walking.

I feel much more confident that Gaudreau will sign with us now. This is a good move for our NCAA players.

They all seem very content, Feaster will report to Burke, Burke will report to King.

Burke is there for his input and wealth of experience/information, day to day operations continue as normal.

Feaster's comments about him reporting to Burke instead of King kind of confirm this.

Sounds to me like this move could address the concern that the owners and/or Ken are overly involved in hockey operations with not being hockey people.

Thumbs up

Which other "successful" franchises in the other leagues have this structure?

I am excited listening to this press conference. The tone at the top of our organization seems very solid.

Burke likes the fact that he doesn't have to deal with the day to day stuff with this position, he isn't in the drivers seat and he is fine with that. He can contribute on a different level.

King says on a list Burke was always at the top.

The Flames now have four franchises under their banner and likely will be trying to add a Soccer team within the next 10-15 years. Murray Edwards has a day job so someone has to run this business. I think that's KK.

He definitely likes to command the mike. I think we can safely assume he will command most of the decisions going forward.

I like it.

Pretty sure the Denver Broncos have something similar with decent success

Ken King also has the new arena on his plate too.
