Golden Cookies are little bonuses you get. I've had it boost cookie production, or just give me bonuses of few million (paltry at the point I was at). Either way, nice to see pop up occasionally. Click it when it comes up!

It's too bad Farms can't keep up with Grandmas...damn they can bake up a storm.

I don't get the appeal. You basically just let it run until you can buy the thing that delivers the best ROI (or something that can pay for itself before you can afford the thing with the best ROI). It gets to the point where you only need one action every 15 minutes fairly quickly. If you click a lot you can cut that down maybe 10%, which is not worth the finger strain.

I just use a macro to click.

I think it is humourous. Right now, my Grandma's have gone insane I think and want me to get them the ability to summon stuff through the portals.

It plays massively on my OCD tendencies, and the ongoing grandma saga adds a humorous/sinister flavor. It's a game I wish I had written.

Have you...forgotten how to have fun with a game? It's not supposed to be the next Call of Duty, it's supposed to be some casual fun thing to pass the time with. I didn't realize it was supposed to occupy 100% of my time.

In general I kind of agree. It appeals to our basic "get stuff" nature and to our completionist OCD side, but it really isn't a game.

It's the same as Tiny Tower or Farmville or any other "click and wait to get stuff" type thing, there really isn't any strategy, it's just a trap to make one feel like one is accomplishing something while they wait for enough cookies to buy the next time machine

So after about 50 time machines i dont think it pays to build them anymore. At 100 billion a machine for 1-2 million in benefit it takes 100,000 seconds for that time machine to pay for itself. A lucky cookie during that time would give 10 billion for your hundred billion cookie bank. So if you get a lucky cookie every 10,000 seconds or 2-3 hours its not worth building time machines anymore.

Do you get lucky cookies at that rate though? What about time when it is idle?

Your logic of lying holds if you never let the game run unattended and play 24 hours a day.

If you have it on while watching tv or something I seem to get a gold cookie every 5 minutes to 10 minutes or so an a lucky cookie every 4th or 5 th golden cookie.

You are definately right about the letting it go idle though. My latest thought is to play for golden cookies when I feel like playing. After I am done playing spending my bank and then letting it collect overnight and while I atvwork

This game sounds like chaos, I can't even follow what the hell is going on here. Time machines, summoning stuff through portals, lucky, gold, and red cookies, what in the f-....

Just sat down and considered this math.

I get 10 billion in about 40-50 seconds (depending on if I am clicking or not). I have been focusing entirely on getting my buildings to 100 and getting upgrades. I would say that using your logic and math, doing anything else is a bad idea.

The lucky cookie maxes out at 1800 times your cps so keeping a bank of 18000times cps seems time the best strategy.

18000times cps is maybe 5 time machines so depending on your multipliers if the 5 time machines can produce 1800 times your cps which would be at least 18000 seconds. So if you can get a lucky cookie every 5 hrs or more you are better off maintaining a bank

I hit 265 million CPS last night. I only have 6 or 7 upgrades to get, plus 30 time machines.

3.8m cps, my farms are doing nothing, I have 15 time machines. I just keep buying anything I can get. I have 3 gold coins.

What is the purpose of selling things?
