I like the way Feaster is not tying up contracts on fringe players. See if it holds.

I'm ecstatic these two are back. Begin will be awesome for the Heat and Bancks always had been a good leader.

Lots of grit on the Heat this year, but I'm a little worried about the skill side of the game.

Good for Begin to get another deal if he wants to keep playing an great to see it be an AHL deal and not one that has him with the Calgary Flames.

A buddy told me Begin will go into a coaching capacity with the organization likely after this season.

That's cool. From the sounds of last season he would be the kind of guy to make that a successful move.

If he ended up an assistant coach with the Heat, does it help or hinder him to be a player on the team this year and then a coach next year? Would the guys respect him more for being their teammate or tune him out?

I guess it would depend on how he acts with the team already, if he is constantly helping the kids with their game and acting the role of a mentor then the transition would be seemless....
