Arnold in a landslide? Should be the first one a few polls.

I voted Breen but I considered Hanowski and Kanzig as well.

I ended up going with Breen because it's a more known player to us.

I voted for Kanzig once again.
You may have answered this early so I apologize, but I am curious as to why you feel Kanzig has upside? From what I have read about him I understand he is huge and can fight... no where does it talk about him being a strong skater/great first pass/good hockey sense etc. Just curious as to why you think he has so much potential. I seem to think his 9 points in almost 140 games suggests that he doesn't have a ton of upside.

Video and reports about him from prospect camp were all very positive. He is a MUCH better skater than has been previously reported, was reportedly excellent in the Flames interviews, and in several analyses has been characterised as a smart player. The biggest knocks against him on draft day were his foot speed and hockey sense, and if these are smaller issues than initially thought, then his incredible size, strength, and fitness all bode well in turning him into an impact player down the road.

That, and I just have a good feeling about him.

...then again, I'm usually not very sophisticated in my own scouting attempts, so my instinct is more likely off the mark anyways.

I am going to continue doggedly voting for Bouma, because I already like what I see in his appropriate role of 4th lines (3rd in a pinch). We do need four lines after all and he's pretty much in the lineup now.

Don't wait until you've voted for all the shiny new baubles...

Kanzig impressed the hell out of me at dev camp. His backwards skating needs work, but otherwise he was rock solid. I went in expecting him to be awful.

The thing I really like about Kanzig is his dedication and size. I think he surprised many coming into camp built with 7% body fat. Also being able to reach almost 15 feet with your stick helps if you have a slow first step. With his size, positioning and reach can help make up deficiencies with skating.
