Very good. Who is your team then?
I wouldn't say upset, I'll carry on with my life as normal. Always want to see them get beat at everything they do though

Celtic making the group stages is actually a good thing for Rangers and for the rest of the league in Scotland. Rangers will be back in a few years challenging Celtic for the title and the UEFA co-efficient factor is extremely valuable in determining where the Scottish clubs fit in to the qualification stages of the CL itself. Just look at countries like Ireland - it is nigh on impossible for a team from that country to qualify for the group stages because of the poor co-efficient factor that determines seedings. Success breeds success, quite literally.
AC Milan stopped investing big money in the club a few years ago and it was no coincidence that Italy quickly lost their fourth qualifying place.

So Celtic with champions league money helps Rangers ? Bollocks
I couldn't care less about the coefficient

Well, if you want to see Rangers in the CL a few years down the line, the coefficient will be a major factor in where they will be seeded. So yes, Celtic making a minimum of 12 million pounds from today's match, even if they go on to lose all six of their group matches, is good for Rangers.

If Celtic keep getting money they will be a harder team to beat in the league when we get back. Celtic with no money = good for Rangers.

While their violence is pretty over the top, I could never cheer for another top English club to win in Europe. Those that I'd consider, wouldn't have a chance.

really hoping for some group of deaths with City and Dortmund
my dream scenario would be
Bayern/Juve or PSG/City
Barca or RM/PSG or Juve/BVB
Napoli in the 4th pot are going to be tough for whomever gets them as well
also this would be fun
Arsenal/PSG/BVB/Napoli

Just watched the champions league games from today on pvr. Always love watching Celtic play in the champions league at home, amazing game to watch.. Then of course you come on here to read total tripe from one of the worst posters on the board finding a way to derail the thread. What is a Rangers fan even doing in this thread? Go hold your breath until somebody starts a Scottish 2nd division thread.

Celtic with no money is not good for Rangers at all in my opinion. Competition breeds success. Look at what happened to Celtic when Rangers got booted out of the league - they went on to lose their two best players, Hooper and Wanyama, just a year later.
I find it difficult to grasp small minded thinking like this. Any Scottish football supporter should be well versed in the importance of European seeding, not only at the domestic level, but at the international level as well. Remember when Scotland beat France home and away a few years ago? Even though they didn't qualify out of that group, the wins against such a higher ranked country bumped their own ranking up, which turned them from a fourth seed into a third seed in the next qualifying group. Success breeds success.
I don't mean this to sound condescending, but the Scottish Premier League is not what it once was, I think we all know that. Quality players are not attracted to a league that cannot offer them big money and top European competition. Celtic progressing on to the group stages of the CL can only serve to raise the profile of the league, and that is something that I feel is advantageous to all supporters of Scottish clubs, not just Catholics.
It looks to me like the earliest possible date that Rangers could be back in the CL qualifying stages would be July of 2016. Three years is a long time, and without investment, that coefficient could drop to a point where it would be extremely difficult for Rangers to get through three ties on their way to the group stages.
