I should have qualified that my experience has been all drive-through too. So now what? No choice but to crack each others heads open and feast on the goo inside.

Hmm it's not rocket science to put a hashbrown in a bag when a combo is ordered. or to put a straw in the bag if you hand me an orange juice.
And she wasn't 14. She was like a 25 year old white girl.

And there's probably a reason she works at McDonald's. she isn't a rocket scientist.
Check the bag before leaving.

Last two times I went through the Mcdonald's drive thru I got slightly brown coloured soda water instead of coke. Both times at the Douglasglen one, about 6 weeks apart.

The first time you say 'fata it' and trust them, its screwed, never with an extra thing either, always on the side of missing something.

Yeah well what are you suppose to do with that? Do you not only check your bag but unwrap your sandwich to make sure there is a patty in there?
Well i guess it was my fault for eating at Mcdonalds anyways. I'll give them another shot in 6 months.

I find this whole thing ironic, given your 'location' is the Market Mall Food Court. Would have thought expectations were modest to begin with.

You can't be serious. McDonald's isn't even really in the fast food business...they're in the real estate business, masked by great marketing. One of the few franchises out there that own the land under every location.
They don't care if you got a hash brown with your McMuffin, and that's why Ray Kroc is sitting somewhere warm counting his money while most people work to make someone else rich, waiting for their 2 weeks of vacation once a year.
This is of course, not to mention that given the demographics of the average Mickey D's worker, you should be expecting less than perfection. Check the bag.

Fun fact of the day. I worked at McCain (highway 3 east of Coaldale) and we made McD's hashbrowns and fries. I realize it's how they turn a profit and this is how business works, but it disgusts me to see how much they end up charging for ONE hashbrown. For McDonald's our hashbrown line operator would have to keep the weight of the patties within a couple grams or it'd be a bitch for me as I ran the machine that packs them... if they got too heavy it might pack 24 patties into the bag instead of 25 and now I'm screwed.
So stringent with the fries too, we could feed an entire nation with the amount of potatoes we threw away trying to meet spec for McDonald's.
So yeah. I don't like McDonald's.
Don't worry about your hashbrown, OP... I still have plenty of friends there and can get you a 150 patty box if you so wish.
