What about Ryan Spooner out of Bos, stuck in their depth chart and they need some cap space. He wouldn't solve all of their problems but it would help, just a thought.

I doubt Boston would be up for trading Spooner right now. They are very high on him and i think his play and ELC had a small part on trading Seguin.

I have my doubts that Feaster said this to some random guy at the food court. Even if true the assets to acquire a top line center would be huge. At least one of Sven, Gadreau, or 2014 1st would be part of the package. CP would probably have a melt down if any of the 3 items were traded in a package.

Feaster loves to talk, this is exactly what he would do. It's not like he broke a trade.

Ya, I could see Feaster telling some fan what he thinks the fan wants to hear even if it's completely untrue.

I tend to think that at least 60% of what comes out of all pro-sports GMs is all just BS for the purposes of PR.

Same old song and dance. Been hearing this for the last 8 years.

Lots of options for letters IMO as alot of players wore letters for their previous clubs. Much will depend on who makes the Flames of course.

Carter Bancks was the captain of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Chad Billins was the captain of the Ferris State Bulldogs.
Ben Hanowski was the captain of the St. Cloud State Huskies.
Turner Elson was captain of the Red Deer Rebels.
Lance Bouma was captain of the Vancouver Giants.
John Ramage was captain of the Wisconsin Badgers.
Greg Nemisz was an alternate captain with the Windsor Spitfires.
Corban Knight was an alternate captain with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
Patrick Sieloff was an alternate captain with the Windsor Spitfires and with US under 18 program.
Tyler Wotherspoon was an alternate captain with the Portland Winterhawks.
Max Reinhart was an alternate captain with the Kootenay Ice.
Michael Ferland was an alternate captain of the Brandon Wheat Kings.

and I may be missing a few.

Maybe wait 'til December, to see if he deserves hot dogs or filet mignon.

I don't think Feaster is concerned about acquiring a #1 center in his late 20s. Some fans might think this is going to be a long rebuild, but I don't think Feaster thinks that way. Feaster is going to have the Flames competing as soon as he can so acquiring a guy in his late 20s isn't going to be a problem.

If you're searching for guys who might be considered #1 centers, you probably need to widen the field and include guys who aren't 1st line centers on contenders. Guys like Paul Stastny and Cody Hodgson. Maybe even a Tomas Plekanec or a Tyler Ennis/Derick Brassard type.
