Always best to end the discussion when someone goes to the "I just watch the games" crap. It's absolutely meaningless. We all watch the games, including - surprise - people who look at advanced stats.

Leafs were only a playoff team because the East was weak, and NJ and PHI decided to take a year off. Now they have to deal with DET too.

Thats true, and even then thats not the whole truth, add in a shortened season and probably a lot of players having sub-par seasons for whatever reasons.
I'd almost guarantee that the Leafs wont make the playoffs next season and I think they're a better team now than they were last season.

IMO in injury data is useless and the rest is relevant with PDO getting a full rating and the rest getting a half rating. Doesn't provide any info on how it will regress back to the curve however.
