Cap hit is fine, term at first seems a little too long but its a tough spot when the guy is UFA after this contract no matter what.

I like Wheeler but that is a big number and term they signed him to is Not a good contract for the Jets but fantastic for the agent and Wheeler.

I think it is very fair for both sides. He is a guy that is trending towards a PPG and is a big body that can cycle well. I have a feeling this deal will look like a bargain in a couple seasons. Especially compared to Samwise Gagnese

That's a lot of money for a RFA who has had 20+ goals just once, and 50+ points just once in his career. He's a good player, hopefully his numbers increase the next few years.
