Fruits are covered in a few things:

1) weird chemicals.

2) manure.

3) the unswashed hands of whatever labourer picked them.

No, you won't drop dead from eating those in small quantities. You might increaes your odds of getting cancer down the road. But you're pretty much admitting you like your food to rubbed around in dirt and manure and then handled by labourers with unwashed hands...hmmm

Am I the only one eating an unwashed apple while reading this?
I am at my desk and the kitchen is simply too far away.

I finished eating my unwashed apple seconds before I came to this thread. A sweet, crunchy, pesticidey Gala.

Manure?

Why the heck would they be covered in manure?

Anyway. I'm pretty sure everything you see in the supermarket has already been washed between the field and the store. The potatos don't have a bunch of dirt encrusted on them.

There are probably some germs on most of the items that are open to the touch of grocery store employees, and customers, but I wouldn't worry that much about bagged/packaged stuff.

Is this thread a parody of the climate change thread?

Wait did I just ruin it?

I would like to know where did Hitler stand on this issue to see if it supports or refutes my opinion about the OP...

You guys sound like a bunch of non-fruit washers who don't work out.

Do you wear an overcoat when you're out grocery shopping? or maybe bike to the store in some lycra shorts.
