No, you won't drop dead from eating those in small quantities. You might increaes your odds of getting cancer down the road. But you're pretty much admitting you like your food to rubbed around in dirt and manure and then handled by labourers with unwashed hands...hmmm

Why the heck would they be covered in manure?
Anyway. I'm pretty sure everything you see in the supermarket has already been washed between the field and the store. The potatos don't have a bunch of dirt encrusted on them.
There are probably some germs on most of the items that are open to the touch of grocery store employees, and customers, but I wouldn't worry that much about bagged/packaged stuff.
