Still not sure if the reasons for his departure from Tampa were ever made public. He was logging huge minutes and had a bright future with the franchise.

At any rate, he came into camp this year in peak shape and something to prove. Got on him to earn another contract. I hope he cracks their top 6 (I don't know how he didn't for this season).

I heard he was asked by management to leave Tampa, because the other players' moms just couldn't keep their hands off of him. Was too disruptive to the team.

He eventually discovered that it was just the stubble that made him irresistable to the older ladies. Now so long as he keeps himself well-groom, he can play at the NHL level without having to worry about his captain's mom 'getting a flat tire' near his house any more.
