That is awesome news!! It shows a great commitment by both parties. I hope he sticks this guy is going to get a lot of fan fare for what he does for the Flames.

From now on you are a Flame,
from now on I will cheer for you,
from now on you have a responsibility,
for this jersey, for your country and for making us proud.
From now on you are a Flame and you will never be alone.

He doesn't look like Crosby or Stifler.. (he has Sid's mouth/jaw but that's all) I don't know how people are getting these comparisons. Sean William Scott is blond, ffs.
He does, however, have some similarities to Andrew Garfield.

This season is going to be entertaining regardless of the final record.
I am going to fight my co-workers for every home game ticket I can get. Hopefully I don't run out of people to take like in past years (due to lack of interest). IMO even casual Flames fans will want to attend games this year to see what the fuss is about.

Speaking of hockey MILFs...Did anyone see Mrs. Reinhart when Max got called up last year? 1st star.
But yes...good for Monahan.

This fuels my fear that the club will burnout some prospects (a la Luke Schenn in TOR) because there is literally no one else to dress. Can't say I'm not looking forward to finally seeing a younger team, but a little cautious as well.

With how many veterans the Flames have under contract I really do not see how your fears line up with reality. With or without Monahan, the Flames are going to have a hard time finding spots for prospects to play with the big club, much less get burnt out by playing too much.

I think it's safe to say he will have the best hair on the Flames this season.
Your move, Horak.

Baertschi, Backlund, Monahan... Three reasons why this is the first time in three seasons that I'm genuinely excited for hockey to start.
