I was blown away with his story. I knew Bo, of course, but not the entire backstory. The guy was a beast and exactly the kind of role model professional athletes should be. I gained incredible respect for Bo by watching the 30 for 30.

Only sad thing (other than a short career) - I got an MLB.TV subscription and between every inning am forced to watch that "5-hour energy" fiasco he calls a commercial. It's like watching your grandmother turn tricks.

I haven't watched the 30 for 30 yet so I don't know whether his ridiculous Tecmo Bowl character was mentioned, but that's what I always remember most about him. Playing as the Raiders just wasn't fair.

It is mentioned, actually! The great point someone made in the documentary is that this was pre-steroid as well. In other words, while this was completely natural and amazing, if the same thing happened today a similar athlete would be considered to be on 'roids.

I am still amazed that a guy was that good at everything and just walked away. He didn't do what a lot of athletes do and try to wedge himself into a commentary job, or go into coaching or anything. He had his injury issues and just walked away. That's shocking to me.

I have to say as a Chiefs fan I never really liked him, but he was impressive!

Once Brothers, the Petrovic/Divac story is easily my favorite 30 for 30.

This Bo Jackson one is good but doesn't pull the heart strings like Once Brothers.
