and I highly doubt we keep both of them... maybe McGrattan.

I don't care how old McGrattan is for example, or the 7th dman.

What is the average of the 14 most important players on each and every team.
This doesn't do it by ice time. But if you use the weighted average it does do it by games played.

Note: The Calgary Flames were middle of the road in terms of age last season. But when you use the weighted average (based on games played) we are still the fourth oldest team. Clearly we still give preference to the older players.

McGrattan is a minimal cap hit and knows his role he should get another 1 year contract.
McGratten is responsible defensively, i recall more than a few games where Hartley gave him 8-10 min a night.

I wasn't thrilled with neither. A very useless signing because of past connections. He better not be back.

I would love to have McGrattan back.

I have nothing against Begin and thought his effort was great last season. I hope someone picks him up, but we have young players that need that spot. McGrattan is somewhat unique for this team right now as he is really our only true heavy weight. He won't factor into every game, but it's nice to have one of those types in your back pocket.

'Is that a McGrattan in your pocket, or are you just very very very unhappy to see me?'
