Glencross is a great fit in BOS... Build a package around him and go from there.

Obviously CGY needs to add a lot.

Not really interested in a king's ransom for Seguin. Doesn't play C anymore either

Wow I want to see Feaster get creative

If its gonna take a higher pick to get Seguin than this would be best case scenerio IMO:

Package 22nd + 28th + Brossoit + Backs to Jersey for the 9th overall

Then

6th + Gaudreau + Gio + Stempniak + Granlund

For

Horton + Seguin + 60th

I want Feaster to make a splash like this and still have a pick in the top 10.

On a team with Krejci and Bergeron he doesn't. On a team with Stajan and no one else he does

If Seguin is available, that is one player you trade the farm for.

No Flames player or prospect (Baertschi included) is even close to that value. The most valuable thing we have right now is our #6 pick.

Next years first would definitely be on the table of Seguin. Add and add and add whatever you can just save the 6th pick.

Tyler Seguin is not a draft pick or unproven prospect

Do. Not. Want.

Seguin has a modified NTC, and considering that a guy like this is something every team would be interested in, I don't see him picking the Flames.

I also don't how we could afford him. We are already short on anything of value.

Will Boston even be willing to trade with the Flames after the Iginla scorn?

I'm a little surprised how many people are ready to break the bank for Seguin. Great young player? You bet.

I'd still rather be patient, and draft and develop our own "Seguin" with #6 and hang onto the other future assets people are tossing in around here.

Looking at the Bruins roster, to make this deal, taking extra salary back might become a factor.
They may want to shed one of Kelly or Peverley, and that cap space Feaster has could become useful in a trade.
Since the flames will likely have current young guys on the NHL roster like Baerstchi and Brodie off limits, I could see pieces like Gaudreau, Glencross, 6th overall pick, being the interesting pieces to the Bruins

Maybe Boston adds Kohklachev??
I like this trade. No way would I give up 6.

I'm sure we could sweeten the pot enough to give them temporary amnesia. Offering Gaudreau would certainly help.

That's the thing you definitely don't do. This team will be a bottom feeder and that draft pick may be #1 overall. Just no.

I like Tyler Seguin, but I think some people here are over valuing the guy a bit. You can't just throw all your prospects/picks out the window for one guy. He's not Crosby.

I don't see why not, Colorado dealt with us and what we did to Colorado was arguably worse than what we did to Boston.

Does Chiarelli even answer his phone if he sees a 403 area code?

Feaster is a new arrival, so Chia probably only knows to hang up on 587

Not all, but if you can keep #6 this year and the first rounder next year...pretty much everything else should be fair game.

At #6 I think we'd be hoping to draft a Seguin quality player. So these proposals that offer significantly more than the #6 doesn't make much sense for us IMO
