He actaully played alright last season. The D in front of him was horrible. Horrible contract to begin with and he would have had to play like Mr. Universe to live up to it.
Wonder who the Flyers are targeting?

Not sure why you are posting his supposed buyout cap hit? As a compliance buyout there is no cap hit for the Flyers.

I phoned Bryz a second time to ask about #flyers buying him out. He said he doesn't want to talk and hung up on me again.

That's his cap hit for a normal buyout. The compliance buyout won't count against the cap and will be $1.65M a year in cash over the next 14 years.
Bryzgalov will still be getting paid by the Flyers when he's 47 years old.

Seems like money is no issue for these guys.
Could see Luongo or Schnieder going there. They'd probably prefer Miller's contract but I doubt the Sabres would give him to a rival for cheap, but then again, Gillis doesn't sell cheap.

That is insane. Now I know it doesn't count against the cap, but I believe it still counts as expenses against hockey related revenue. So it should still reduce the total pot of money that the players get. What about escrow? Is this money free from any claw back?

Watch him sign with a team like the Isles for cheap and get back into form next season.

Smith and Bryzgalof switch teams and Bryz goes back to being a stud for the Coyotes and Smith becomes a sieve.

It'd be funny if he goes back to PHX and lights it up for them again.
EDIT : Hockey's scenario is funnier

Lots of options for Miller to be traded to. Hope it goes down before/during the draft!

The last three Cup losers prior to this year (Flyers, Canucks, Devils) are all a total mess.

Can't believe no one brought it up yet, but with our goalie situation far from certain, should Feaster take a run at him. 4 years/20 million? Or just roll the dice with Ramo/Berra?

I would take a chance on Bryzgalov.
Guy actually wasn't that bad last year, the team in front of him was terrible.
Watch him end up in Columbus and win the Vezina there next season, that would be awesome.
