The Cup should be handed out by a past Cup winning Hall of Fame player.

They do that in tennis! Or a celeb. Last month Nadal received the French Open trophy from Usain Bolt!
At least in hockey they give it to the captain and not the owner like in the other 2 sports.

Do it like the green jacket in Golf, the previous winning captain passes the cup onto the next winning captain.
If a team wins back to back, then a previous team legend comes out to hand out the cup.

That's a horrible idea. What if the previous year's team's winning captain was the current year's finals loser. How excited would he be to hand over the trophy?
What if the previous year's captain retired? What if he was traded?
Keep it the way it is.

Each team could nominate who hands them the cup.
Ex. Chicago could have picked Hull, Esposito, Mikita. Boston could have selected Orr, Esposito, Bourque.

I think CFL commishs Tom Wright and Mark Cohon were the worse at presentations...especially when they shreik out their speech in French.
I like to see the NHL do what they do in UEFA soccer...make all the guys climb up to the club seats in their skates and full gear and then back ice level with the cup again.

I love how in the NHL it's the players that get the trophy first.
The NFL/NBA/MLB got it all wrong giving it to the owners first. They're not that put in blood, sweat, and tears to earn the hardware. Give it the players first. Maybe with the NFL the coach should get the trophy first since they play such a significant role in each game; being the play caller and all. And the trophy is named after a coach.

Pick a sports commissioner name, google it with "booed" attached and you're off to the races.
Is there actually a sports league commissioner who is popular?

I think this is an excellent and exceptional idea, and would start a very good and memorable tradition. Especially for those who played the game in the past, but are honored/asked by the winning team (prior to the start of the SCF) to present the Cup. This would make the presentation more meaning for for older and newer fans and for the families of the players chosen to hand out the cup.
Handing out the cup should be a tradition not a chore by someone who gets paid by the league. I guess Bettman would still prefer to make the announcement on the winning team but hopefully it would be shorter.

One thing I like at the NHL draft is each team announces it's pick and the Commissioner only gets up to announce trades. In the NBA the commissioner has to be front and centre and announce the picks.
