Well plenty of serial killers started by killing animals. Dog lover or not there should be some empathy when another animal shows pain. If this empathy doesn't exist with dogs it is unlikely to exist in other relationships. It might just be better hidden.

I take (took) my dog to this place on Fridays as a treat and for him to unwind before the weekend. Little do I know he would rather get neutered a second time than go back.

CP, you've dissapointed me with your lack of revenge fantasies. This had all the makings of a CP superstorm of moral outrage and twisted thoughts on what you guys would do to the accused. It had CP's "more important than people" obsession; Dogs, and CP's sounding board for a wave of moral superiority, and a desire to see worse things happen to the person than what they actually did; Crime.

I like most people's dogs more than most people's children.

Are you sure?

The news report interviewed the owner of the business and she stated that she had spoken with Mariko and felt confident that it would never happen again so she remained employed there.

Edit: Just read the above post that stated they terminated the employee AFTER that interview was aired.

Sorry bud, but to me abuse of an animal is not different then a person. I'm pretty sure animal abuse is a warning sign of someone having deeper issues.

Yeah, I've got to agree with this wholeheartedly. I'm not a dog owner and I sometimes cringe at the way people seem to think they are people but anyone who hits an animal like this woman did has got to have issues. Could this chick get jail time?
