I thank the old gods and the new I have no idea who any of those people you mentioned are. I've heard of a Kim Kardashian before, the big butt one. Didn't know there was others.
Not anymore, just look at all the tabloids. Articles are almost always about the real lives of celebrities, or at least the lives of what they want you to know. Basically as real as a reality show. This goes for athletes as well, the UFC has done really well partially as a result of a reality show. Pretty sure the rest of the entertainment world has copied or adapted that model.
For the life of me, I can't figure out why Kim Kardashian, or any of them for that matter, is in any way a "celebrity".
Can someone please explain this to me? What is her claim to fame?
I don't really know much about her other than her dad was OJ Simpson's lawyer during his big trial, and that her mother divorced him and married Bruce Jenner (Olympic athlete). Aside from that, I guess she's famous in that same way Paris Hilton is? Rich families, and they like to famewhore themselves out?

While I agree with you on the Kardahian part, I have no idea who the other person is either.

She put out a sex tape with some rapper. That launched her.

Unfortunately, I;ve become convinced that a good number of Americans just love to be scammed.
The culture had been corrupted long ago, but with what little faith left in the general population, the hope is that this sort of thing was forced on the public. Then again, if nobody was watching, it'd eventually disappear.
Never seen "Survivor" myself, but it does seem like it's several cuts above much of the other garbage.

Not only is he one of the most prolific reality TV stars, with multiple appearances on Survivor, and the Amazing Race, he also met, proposed to, and married his wife on their own TV special, and they had their own show for a (thankfully) brief period of time.
Yes, that is in fact a registrered trademark attached to his name.
If these were not reason enough to bash, Boston RobŪ has recently released a self-published book titled The Boston RobŪ Rulebook: Strategies for Life. It was published by R & A Mariano Inc., and edited and designed by members of his wife's families.

We need to boycot all reality TV. The problem is that it is so cheap to produce that it only takes a few people watching it to make money. So we get inindated with all this crap.
