Anywhere but Pittsburgh, hopefully.

Much like others, I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in LA

What? He plated horribly with Malkin and everyone who played with Malkin looked terrible. Malkin played like crap.

To be honest. I thought he would have done a heck of a lot better than he did in Pittsburgh. At this point a team will be paying for a third line RW. No slight on him, that's just where I see him at this point in his career.

Best guess, San Jose, L.A or Van. Doubt the ducks will make him an offer. But then again maybe they will.

Judging by a lot of posters here he is a washed up bum who should retire.

I believe Penner is a FA in the summer. Iggy replaces Penner.

I wonder if Iginla himself would want to go to LA... He knows the coach, which means he knows the type of game that would be demanded of him - its the type of game he hasn't played in nearly a decade, and the type of game he actively resisted playing under Brent.

I'm not sure if Iginla wants to commit to that - he would much rather prefer a "high flying" team as that is the game he is used to now IMO.

If I can get a 3rd line winger that can put up points like that while being a team guy sign me up.

He scored .75 ppg this season. Fatty Penner didn't come close to matching that as the Kings 2nd line winger playing with Carter and Richards this season. The Kings have been using Toffoli and Clifford on the 2nd line this last series and you think they can't us Iginla on the 2nd line?

Superstar Bryan Bickell put up the same stats in 49 games that Iginla put up in 31 in Calgary and this guy is going to get upwards of 4 million and be the star of FA?

Iginla will get decent money and get a top 6 role likely on a play-off bound team. He may not be the stud to carry a team anymore but he is still a very good top 6 player.

Comeback to Calgary. Trying to win the Cup is a crap shoot anyway except for picking which conference will win it.

Back around the time of the trade, I thought yeah...let's trade Iggy for some assets and then bring him back in the summer. Now, no thanks. I've moved on, and hopefully so has he, as well as our management.

Love Iggy, and will always be grateful for his time here, and sad that our management could never build a Cup winner around him, but the page has turned, let's not back track.

Any team that doesn't have a Jokinen. Pretty sure Iggy wouldn't have waived to go to the Pens if he knew a Jokinen was going to be on the team

Yeah true, but you try to narrow down your chances. Watching Marian Hossa join the Penguins, lose the cup, spurn them for the Red Wings, then lose to the Pens was pretty hilarious/sad. He eventually got it right with the Hawks.

Iginla picked the Hawks, Kings, Pens and Bruins as his initial four, I think he probably sticks with those teams.

Sadly Iggy is now mostly a PP specialist and maybe even a 3rd liner, It could also be sad for the Bylsma family that he didn't figure that out.

Right, because Iginla is the reason why Bylsma could lose his job...

Was hoping he'd win a cup and come back here to help the next generation along, him listing his house immediately after getting traded kinda ruled that possibility out.

Could see a west coast team, I know Iggy will want to play for a contender but I think he'll also go for lifestyle and a pleasant place to live too. LA, San Jose, Anaheim all have competitive teams and could accommodate his wage if he doesn't shoot for the moon, although maybe LA might find it tough.
