Should students and teachers be friends on Facebook?

As a teacher it makes no sense to have students with that much access to your personal life. There needs to be a boundary there.

I don't even have facebook anymore, but if I did, only former students would potentially be 'friended'.

Two accounts. One for School and the one with drunk pictures of yourself.

You would want an account if you are active in school and you would like to organize while involing student and parents at the same time. It's also easy to remove them once the year is over.

My friend is a teacher and he deleted his account because he was uncomfortable with all the students who kept trying to add him as a friend.
