The mortgage is fully under my name as is the house (edit: I also am paying the entire downpayment). I'm collecting rent because, obviously, it's only fair. Also because if things don't work out ( not expected but hey who knows) by demonstrating I wasn't responsible for her rent I won't have to shell out some sort of common law allowance or w/e. From my cursory knowledge of Common-law if I make her pay for rent I am not financially responsible for her in the future if we break up.
edit2: Seems that in AB common law has a different name and doesn't even occur until 3 years of living together.

Yup, after 3 years (earlier if you have a kid together), you become Adult Interdependent Partners.
I'd still want something written down.. At the very least, do up some rental receipts.

Any particular reasons? I don't anticipate she'd flake out and not pay. And even if she did I can pay the mortgage on my own. Until the 3rd year giving her receipts seems kinda dickish and would likely rock the boat a little needlessly.

I wouldn't be worried about her not paying while you still live together. I'd be concerned about living together for 3+ years, her finding you in bed with her little sister, kicking you out, changing the locks and claiming that she owns 1/2 your house.

I think you are missing the important part...
Does she have a hot little sister?
If so, provide pics.

No to the sister but she has pretty smokin' cousins. Which is irrelevant to me.
