I've had this recorded on VHS since 1989 and have finally gotten around to making it digital and getting it online.

This montage is from the 2&7 broadcast of Salute to Champions that followed the 1989 cup parade and took place at the Olympic Plaza. I always watch this before the Flames start the playoffs and it has given me years of joy and memories. Hope you enjoy it too.

I've got the entire broadcast (about 80 min) in divx format too, and would like to put it up somewhere so people can download it too. If anyone more tech savvy can recommend a file hosting site that will allow over 1 hr of video and over 500 mb, please let me know. The video is a classic must have for all Flames fans, featuring Ed Whalen, intros of the entire team, interviews with a few of them, a speech by Lanny and more.

CBC does a great job at capturing the emotion of the game while TSN really lacks in that department. That's one thing I fear if CTV/TSN get the HNIC rights; the presentation will be corporation and media focused, and will override the passion and emotions of the game that CBC shows off really well.

Quite frankly, TSNs pregame montages blow donkey dong.
