Go Pens.

1) Flames 1st rounder getting closer to 30th
2) Pens have Matt Dbag Cooke on their team
3) Sens no longer have Matt Dbag Cooke on their team
4) We get to laugh at Bryan Murray talk for another series.
Go Sens.

Having the "well, it was the 30th pick after all" as an excuse when the Flames eff up the draft - go Pens.

Wouldn't the having the 6th pick overall take precedent over the 30th if we eff up this draft?

Listening to sports radio, Wednesday is a probable start date for game one of this series.

I'm OK with either team winning. So hopefully it's an entertaining series.

With the sheer guess work involved and our track record for scouting, the difference between picking 28th - 30th is very minimal.
Go Iggy!

So serious question to all your Penguins because of Iggy lovers, aren't you just even a little miffed that he is going balls out after arriving at Pittsburgh after all those mediorce games he has had over the past 3 years? Looks a little too Vince Carterish for me.
Ugh. I feel like tim horton's donut hole.

Here's hoping Spezza can return when the series gets back to Ottawa for game three. Things could get very interesting if he comes back, and if the Sens take one of those first two games.

I fear a wholistic 1st round eff up. Drafting Nichushkin, a goalie and trading for an established guy to add grit.
Honestly, Iginla winning the Cup means more to me than bumping up a few draft slots. I know others disagree, but I just don't see the Flames of all teams taking advantage of the difference between 26/27/28/29 and 30th.

This. I like both teams a lot. If the Pens win, Iggy gets closer to the cup . If they lose, our pick gets better and the Sens get closer to the cup. Win/win for me.

His game looks very similar to me as a whole. The big difference is playing with one of Crosby or Malkin at all times. Pretty big change there.

He's not going balls out, he looks exactly like the same player that was here the least two or three seasons.

I will burn down Flames Central if we draft a goalie in the first round!

You know, I really really want to cheer for the Flames former captain, best player in franchise history, fan favourite, guy I've been cheering on for well over a decade BUT I just need to see us pick 28th instead of 29th, so go sens!
Yeah right, GO IGGY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty disappointed that so many of you guys have turned on him so fast. I mean, you don't have to root for the Pens, but I don't believe that you care that much about one draft position in the late 1st round, which leads me to believe you either absolutely hated the pens before Iggy was traded or you have something against Iginla. It's pretty confusing to see.

For me, in the first round it was because I went to high school with bailey, and I've always had a soft spot for the Islanders. this round it's another one of my favourite teams, and the one that happens to be in my home town, with things being pretty fun while the team is in the playoffs. If the Penguins had played any other Eastern Conference team I'm sure I would have cheered for the Pens.
Also, Iginla sadly plays with my least favourite player ever. I really hope that Iginla and Cooke are on different teams next year.

I don't think its either. Some of us flames fans want the best pick possible. Yes one spot can matter. Also if the Pens lose its more than one spot.
Go Sens!!! I want the best pick possible for the flames!!!

Might sound crazy but Pens in 5
... If Vokoun is in net, if Fleury is in net Sens in 6.
