Fleury must not be on Team Canada.
Price
Luongo
Ward
would be my choices

All three of those guys were top-5 picks.
That might be the most scary part.

We have GDI, Wordpro, and François Allaire to thank for developing the robot goalie. It's almost like the art and athleticism of reacting to make a save is no longer a part of the new Canadian goalies bag of tricks. The art of reading the play is lost and the butterfly slide has taken over in Canada. Sad but true Canada is falling behind again in it's development program.

Ugh, I do not love the idea of Luongo or Fleury being in the mix, much less both of them. The Olympics are all about pressure performances and I really felt that we won that last game in spite of Luongo, not because of him. Fleury is currently playing himself out of a job in the playoffs and Price got blown out by the Sens. None of them say "Clutch tournament performer" to me.
I would rather go with Crawford, Holtby and a healthy Ward starting.

Holy Crap, the depth of Canada goalies is almost non existent. That used to be or strength for days.

Seriously, the CHL needs to gather up some spies and go on a covert mission to Finland to see how they do it.
Even kidnap some Finnish goalie coaches and convert them if that's what it takes.

Fleury should not even be a part of the discussion. He is the reason a stacked team isn't already sitting pretty in the second round.

Ya, our goalies don't look great, but it is not a 3 goalie tournament. One or two of the 7 or so good Canadian goalies will be hot going into this tournament. Maybe it will be Luongo, maybe it will be Ward. More worried about our D playing on a larger surface.

Ward needs a bounce back year next year to have a chance at making the team. Luongo should go even though I didn't think he would six months ago. Price should be the number one but I can understand if another goalie comes in to steal the show.
Smith, Holtby could be in the mix for the third spot.

Not sure when the selections are made.. but if Ward gets a chance to come back and establish himself I think he'll do so and be a sure fire bet. If the selection happens before that.. hmmm..
I guess I'd go with Price, Smith, and Luongo.

Our goaltending is going to suck. At least we'll have a stellar defense.

Just need them to hold the fort, not steal any games. I think Canada has a decent edge on D over most countries except maybe the U.S. We won the gold with Luongo barely holding the fort.

Price, Smith, Ward.
We've seen how terrible Luongo is under pressure.

playing devil's advocate here, what has Ward done to deserve to be on this team?
Or is it just a matter of the lack of depth at this position for Canada?

"Barely" would be generous... I feel just as comfortable with Luongo in there as I would with Joey MacDonald, and trust me that is not because I think Joey MacDonald is some sort of steller goaltender or anything.
