Should be the Pens winning this. But my hope is for the Isles. Iggy or not, draft position is important for the Flames here.

The Penguins were close to losing in regulation IIRC.
I think Francis or Tocchet tied it up with a couple minutes left on the clock.

Damn. I like the Islanders a lot and i want them to succeed but i want Iggy to succeed as well. I have to go with Iggy though. Pens in 5 or 6. The Islanders should put up a good fight.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Holy crap, this thread is heavily slanted in favour of hoping for Iginla and the pens to get knocked out. Things seemed to have changed from that first week when he got traded and it was almost unanimously "go get your cup, Iggy!".
For me, it's still "Go get your cup, Iggy". Love the guy, loved everything he did for this team and city. One of the true "good guys" in the game, and the best player to ever wear a Flames jersey. For me, second only to the Flames winning a cup is Iginla winning a cup, and if there was a ever a year, it's this year. With cap issues, I doubt Iginla will get an opportunity to play on a team this deep again.
Time to enter playoff beast mode, and put the final notch on your hall of fame career, Jarome!

I have the Pens taking it all the way beating the Hawks in 7 games. But in 5 against the Isles.

The other thing the 93 upset did was pretty much give the Canadiens the Stanley Cup with a less than stellar team aside from Patrick Roy. If this happens again that would just be weird. Especially if it was LA in the finals too.

If there's one team out there that can use good news after all these years of hardship, it's the Islanders. And if there's one team that's had plenty of good times and horseshoes up their ass with players like Lemieux, Jagr, Crosby and Malkin, it's the Pens.
I don't really care that much any more what Iginla does or wins. I don't wish him ill will by any means, but the team is always more important than any individual no matter who it is. It's best for us that the Isles win, so that's who I'm cheering for.

Pens went 4-1 against the Isles this season. They have also improved. I don't like the Isles chances, some may think its a good under dog series, but I do not. Pens got tougher, and therefore they are not going bullied by a weaker hockey team.
Pens in 4 or 5.
