Philly should also have 2 more points as well and 46 games played. Gives a bit more breathing room for the Flames.

Thank goodness it's been almost a week since we were able to lose.

Cundari was exposed a bit defensively. Hopefully he'll learn a few lessons. Bancks wasn't really noticable until he slammed in the boards at the end there. Street had a good game and Aliu was pretty decent.

Might have to sit Sven if he doesn't settle down with the points.

Didn't fare too poorly considering the lineup. Brodie with some sweet moves, Sven with 2 assists, Cheddar with a nice snipe and dat der hand-eye coordination. Not bad.

We'll get 'em next time.

Cundari is going to have to reign in those pinches.

This is a great opportunity for young guys to learn from mistakes though. Good effort.

Two really tough games left against teams that are rolling. I don't want to jinx it but subject to the lottery should end up picking 5th or 6th now, with an outside chance at 4th. Longshot but chance to get one of the big 4 again.

I really hope this production carries over for a stronger Baertschi next season. He still hasn't even played 25 games in the NHL and he's figuring out how to be a scorer. Kid is a stud.

In case anyone is wondering, Pete's screen shot is from ESPN.com. As far as I can tell, they are the quickest to update following games. Usually within a minute or two of a game ending. It's always faster than TSN and NHL.com. Which is weird considering ESPN basically hates hockey... but they must have have a good website coder!

Oh jeez if those 3 teams could pick up a few more points each we could be looking at 5th overall at worst.

Looking at those standings just reinforces how nice it would have been if even one of Detroit, Anaheim, or Minnesota showed up.

To get back into top 5 territory we're counting on two of Edmonton, Carolina, and Nashville to win one, even if we lose out. May be a tall order.

Or St louis clinched today , so they relax and lay an egg, and Chicago rests their top players for the playoffs
