Alternately, there is usually a keyboard logo on your task bar depending on what system you run. Click that and select the non Canada-French option.

Back on topic, man Florida is seriously terrible. Last year was an utter fluke.

Something is really bothering me about reffing this year. Along with all the other made up rules that they introduced this year, they also sneaked in the "no hurting the refs feelings" rule. In the NJ NYR game, there was a blatant trip on kovulchuk who was potentially on his way to a shorthanded breakaway, bad no call. NJ bench gives the gears to the ref, they get a bench minor to go down 2 men.

I have not seen so many bench minors as this year, and I think its ridiculous. These guys need to be accountable ON THE ICE. If they make a blatant mistake, they should be told, and not politely.
Held accountable? Fine, but nobody receives more abuse than refs. They are accountable to the league and should explain their reasonings to the bench if there is confusion, but no way should they have to allow the abuse that occurs.

Every official is going to make mistakes and some of them are going to change the outcome of games. Period. It's a tough job. But should we allow the benches to verbally assault the ref every time they feel a bad call is made?

I think the top 8 teams in the East are set. Will be some positioning to determine, but I can't see the Rangers, Senators, or Islanders choking out while the Jets win out.

I think it would be better if TB won, because they have a better chance to catch the Flames than the Canes

In a word, yes.

No one is going to argue that refs aren't humans that make mistakes blah blah blah. Is the modern day referee too sensitive to be ridiculed in the aftermath of an egregious error? Sorry, this is a part of professional sports. They clearly picked the wrong profession to have thin skin.

What next? Are the refs going to politely ask fans not to boo them because the thought of it gives them night terrors? Spare me... They are REFS.

It would be a dream if TB could tie their game up and get 3 points out of it

TB, Nash, and Carolina are all absolutely brutal right now. So is Edmonton, really. We're going to have to lose out to finish below any of these bunch of sucktards.

I feel optimistic we wil go 1-3 to close out now with the 7 AHLers added to the lineup. Nashville game will be huge.

Carolina winning is better from my point of view. Tampa has looked competitive down the stretch and I'm not worried about them winning one or two more games, whereas the Canes just look like they are mailing it in at times.

Nether Carolina nor TB wins another game after today, IMO

Following the bottom of the league this year closer than ever has made me realize what a talent Edmonton has had for sucking. It is truly remarkable to finish like they have the past 3 and now 4 years. Being the best of all the pathetic tent folding beggar kings is an historic feat that will be remembered forever.

I dunno, I think there's a high degree of random in the NHL besides which T-Bay has Florida at home to end the year.

Calgary will need them to get a win and a single to pass us though as they own the reverse tiebreak.

The Canes final three games are against the Islanders, Rangers, and Penguins. All are headed to the playoffs, and the NY teams are fighting for position. It's unlikely Carolina gets a point after tonight. With a win, they'll still be a point behind the Flames.

The Lightning have Toronto, Boston, and Florida to end their season. They should get two against Florida, so at least one point tonight increases their chances of passing the Flames.

I have a feeling that, by then, Florida will have a 3 or more point 'lead' and will be comfortable winning (as will TB with letting them)

I honestly think if Carolina wins tonight we will be in tough to get 4th. No way Carolina wins another game and TB need two seperate games with points for them to pass us

The Capitals are in that group too. It is doubtful that they will choke.

There is still hope! Fans of other teams were probably looking at Calgary's schedule and saying "Anaheim is 2nd in the West and Detroit is actually fighting for something, they'll beat the Flames for sure."

I'm not a big fan of concluding who is going to win games based on where they are in the standings.

We just beat Anaheim, Detroit and Phoenix in the last week. That should have been zero points on paper and we got 6.

Not saying TBL or Carolina will win just that you never know. If we lose all 4 (which won't happen - we're playing like crap again tonight and fluking into points), at least one of them will pass us.
