I'd also worry about how he ages with his build/size.

There's no way Glencross straight up for Lucic would even be close to enough. Lucic had back-to-back 60+ point seasons, is still young and is always mentioned as "the" example of the guy you want on a playoff team (size/skill). On a good team, Glencross is a 3rd liner that has never broken 50 points and is older than Lucic.
Lucic would be a stud and would be amazing to add...but it'd take a lot more than just Glencross!

On a good team Glencross is a 2nd line player. Honestly not even debatable with the goals he puts up. You don't have 25 goal scorers, on you're third line.

I take Lucic over Glencross 10/10 times based on age, size and where each player will likely be in the next 3-5 years.
However, when you factor in Glencross making $2.55 million and Lucic making $6 million, that changes the playing field drastically IMO.

Do you know what else you want on a playoff team? Players that can provide more value for what their contract is worth. Glencross adds positive value there and Lucic has negative value. I am not saying that I think Glencross is worth more (or less) than Lucic, but $6 million per year for the next 3 seasons is not good value at all.

I am with you but the cap hit is irrelevant. By the time calgary is ready to compete Glencross will be UFA and cost $5+M to keep on top of that he will be turning 33. That is why I hope the Flames smarten up and ask him if he would consider moving on to help with the rebuild

Really?
I think Lucic is overrated and overpaid for sure but if I am the Bruins there are a lot of guys I want more than Yakupov who seems destined to be Lucic in 3 years time, without the toughness or intangibles.

It's a very common name in Serbia and used somewhat frequently in Croatia. I actually really like the name.

id give up a tonne to get Lucic on this squad, however I think you would have to pry him out of Cam Neely's cold, dead hands

now is the time to "buylow" on lucic. he isnt gonna be a (prorated) 12 goal scorer too many times.
people saying no to him due to his contract are going to be begging to pay a Clarkson type guy the same for less production 2-3 years down the road.

Lucic is still young and has a long career ahead of him. There are very few players in the NHL who can put up 20-30 goals and fight with any heavyweight.
I'd be calling if I were Feaster.
