Nah fourth liners are there to give other forwards a breather. Regardless, defense is usually not a requirement though. Just hitting.

I can totally see them re-signing Begin, McDonald, Mcgratton.

In one of the interviews Hartley said there aren't enough hard working guys like Begin in the NHL so he's likely coming back.

McGratton, he brings toughness unless we go out an sign another tough guy, hes coming back.

Jackman is already here so theres the 4th line.

Tanguay-Cammi-Glencross
Baertschi-Backlund-Stempniak
Horak-Stajan-Hudler
McGratton-Begin-Jackman

Not sure where Reinhart, Bouma fit.
Glencross isn't going anywhere.
Stempniak, Stajan, Cammi contracts expire after next year so most likely trade deadline, so they're here at the start of the year.

I think Feaster should look to trade Tanguay if there are no takers then buy him out.

Ideally it would be:

Baertschi-Backlund-Stempniak
Cammi-Stajan-Hudler
Glencross-Reinhart-Horak
Bouma-Begin-Jackman
McGratton

I guess? Feaster said yesterday that they could not sign him until July 5th. Granted i did not hear it but read some other posters remark on it.

Ramo is a Defected RFA, he does not have a contract right now, so to extend him for next year, they need to give him a contract for this year, or wait until free agentcy day. (this year it is July 5th I think, because of the late end to the season.) Its like when Gio was in Russia.

Berra was different because he was not defected, he's never had a North American contract before. So his contract is Slide Eligable
